Mulled Apple Cider

  • 1 qt apple juice
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • a few grains of salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  1. Pour the juice into a large saucepan.
  2. Stir in the spices, salt and sugar.
  3. Cover and heat very slowly to the boiling point for about half an hour.
  4. Remove the heat, strain and serve.
