Chocolate Chip Bran Muffins

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup bran
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  1. Preheat the oven to 375F.
  2. Cream the butter with the sugar and the egg.  Add the remaining ingredients, blending well. 
  3. Spoon the batter into a non-stick muffin tray.  Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.  Serve.
