Chocolate Chip Cake

  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 lb chocolate chips
  1. Preheat the oven to 375F.  Lightly grease a 9 by 9 inch cake pan.
  2. Cream the butter with the sugar.  Mix in the eggs and vanilla.
  3. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the milk and beat until smooth.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour into the prepared pan.  Bake for about 25 minutes until risen and golden.  Serve.
