- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/2 lb chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven to 375F. Lightly grease a 9 by 9 inch cake pan.
- Cream the butter with the sugar. Mix in the eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk and beat until smooth.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour into the prepared pan. Bake for about 25 minutes until risen and golden. Serve.
