Chocolate Sour Cream Cake

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.  Grease and flour a 9" cake pan.
  2. Stir together the flour, soda, and salt.  Mix in the cocoa.
  3. Beat in the eggs, sugar, vanilla, and sour cream
  4. Add the boiling water.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. 
  6. Bake for about 45 minutes.
  7. Serve.
