Molten Cabernet Cakes

  • 4 oz. dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tbsp cabernet sauvignon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 cup icing sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • vanilla ice cream
  1. Grease 4 ramekins and place them on a cookie sheet.  Preheat the oven to 425 F.
  2. Combine the dark chocolate and the butter and then microwave them until they are melted. 
  3. Combine the wine, vanilla, sugar, eggs, cinnamon, ginger, and flour.  Stir in the butter and chocolate.
  4. Spoon the batter evenly into the ramekins.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.  Let stand 1 minute.  Serve with vanilla ice cream.
