Mom’s Chocolate Pudding

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  1. Whip the cream and then chill.
  2. Combine the sugar, cornstarch, cocoa, and salt in a medium saucepan.  Pour in the milk.
  3. Whisk continuously over medium high heat until the mixture thickens and becomes shiny.
  4. Stir in the vanilla.
  5. Separate into 4 bowls.
  6. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
