Pie Pastry

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cut in small pieces
  • 1/2 cup lard
  • 1/2 cup ice water
  1. Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in the food processor.  Mix briefly.
  2. Add the butter and pulse until crumbly.  Add lard and pulse again.
  3. Stir in the water and mix until the dough just comes together and then roll out on a floured surface.
  4. Makes enough for 2 crusts.
