Yummy Tender Waffles

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 egg yolks and 3 egg whites, separate
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • a pinch of cream of tartar
  1. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. Stir in the milk, the egg yolks, and melted butter.  Mix until smooth.
  3. Whip the egg whites with the cream of tartar until stiff.  Fold into the mixture.
  4. Cook in a waffle iron until tender, but not over cooked.
  5. Serve with fruit and whipped cream.
