Spaghetti with Sausage Sauce

  • 1/2 onion, minced
  • 2 hot Italian sausages, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp vermouth
  • 3 tomatoes, diced
  • salt and pepper
  • chili flakes
  • dry spaghetti
  • parmesan
  1. Heat the olive oil in a dutch oven.  Saute the onion 3 minutes.
  2. Add the sausages and saute 5 minutes.
  3. Add 3 garlic and saute 2 minutes.  Add vermouth and cook 2 minutes.
  4. Add tomatoes and season with salt and pepper and chili.
  5.  Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
  6. Boil pasta in salted water.  Drain.
  7. Toss with sauce and spinkle with parmesan.
