  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
    1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
    2. Cream the butter with both the sugars. 
    3. Beat in the egg, and the vanilla.
    4. Stir in the remaining ingredients.
    5. Scoop large spoonfuls onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for about 12 or so minutes.

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
    1. Combine the flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
    2. Cream the butter with the sugars.  Beat in the eggs and the vanilla.  Combine with the flour mixture.
    3. Fold in the chocolate chips and the nuts just until blended.  Chill 1 hour.
    4. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
    5. Place in large balls on parchment lined baking sheet.
    6. Bake for 14 minutes.  The centres will still be soft but they will continue cooking after you pull them out.

    • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
    • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 2 tablespoons oats
    • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. Sift first 4 ingredients into medium bowl.
    3. Cream the butter in large bowl until fluffy. Add sugar and vanilla; beat until blended.
    4. Add flour mixture and beat until moist clumps form. Mix in oats with spatula until evenly distributed (dough will be very firm). Add chocolate chips and knead gently to blend.
    5. Using moistened palms, shape 1 generous tablespoon dough into ball. Place on prepared sheet; flatten to 2-inch round. Repeat with remaining dough, spacing rounds about 2 inches apart.
    6. Bake cookies until center is slightly firm and top is cracked, about 14 minutes. Cool on sheet.

  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup coconut, shredded
    1. Cream the butter with the sugars until smooth.
    2. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Lay parchment paper on baking trays.
    3. Add the eggs, beating well to combine.
    4. Stir in the vanilla.
    5. Combine the flour, salt, and baking soda and then stir it into the butter mixture.
    6. Fold in the chocolate chips, pecans, and coconut.
    7. Drop large spoonfuls of the dough onto the parchment paper and bake until golden, for about 15 minutes.
    8. Serve with milk.
