Soy Kale

  • 1 lb kale,washed well, stems removed,cut in 1/4 inch ribbons
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp peanut oil
  • 1" ginger, peeled,minced
  • 4 garlic cloves, peeled,sliced
  1. Combine the water, soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, and sugar.  Mix well and set aside.
  2. Heat the peanut oil in a dutch oven and saute the garlic and ginger until fragrant.  Add the kale and toss a few seconds to start to wilt.
  3. Pour in the liquid and bring to a low simmer.
  4. Cover and cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
  5. Serve.
