   Heat 1 tsp olive oil in a dutch oven.  <\/span>Add the vegetables and the bacon.  <\/span>Cook for 10 minutes on low.<\/font><\/div>\n<\/li>\n

   Add the lentils and stir.  <\/span>Add the bay leaf and the Dijon.<\/font><\/div>\n<\/li>\n

   Pour in the wine and just enough  <\/span>water so that the lentrils are just covered in liquid.  <\/span>Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.<\/font><\/div>\n<\/li>\n

   Check the seasoning, adding salt and pepper if necessary.<\/font><\/div>\n<\/li>\n
